Your data
Effective October 8, 2026
The short version.
- Your image is used to build your image and for nothing else.
- We delete uploads as soon as they've been used, and finished images after 24 hours.
- We don't sell your data or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
- We're a build tool, not storage: keep your own copies. We are not responsible for data you lose.
1. Our promise
Your images and files belong to you. Nassau Technologies, LLC uses them only to build the image you asked for. We don't read them, we don't use them for anything else, and we never share them with anyone. This page describes, step by step, what happens to your data. The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are the binding documents; this page is the plain-language walk-through.
2. What happens to your image
- You give us an image. Either a name that points to a public registry, in which case our server downloads that image, or a file you upload (up to 4 GB). Uploads go to private storage that is not reachable from the web, and only your account can use them.
- We unpack it. We unpack its files and read its start-up command. We never run the software inside it on our servers.
- We build your image. We add the Raspberry Pi kernel, boot firmware and a small start-up program, and apply the options you chose.
- Your upload is deleted. The moment the build ends, whether it worked or failed, the file you uploaded is deleted. An upload you never use is deleted after 24 hours.
- You download the result. Only your account can download it.
- The built image is deleted 24 hours after it finished, along with its build log.
What remains is a short record of the build (what you asked for, the status, the dates and the checksum), kept as your build history. It contains none of your files.
3. Wi-Fi details
If you enter a Wi-Fi network name and password, they're written into the image so your Pi can connect. We don't save them in our database or in the build log. They are held encrypted for at most an hour so the build can read them, and are deleted as soon as it does. Because they are inside the image, treat the downloaded file as private.
4. Who can see your data
Your images, files and settings are used only by the service to do your build. We don't open or review them, except automatically as needed to build, or where we in good faith believe we must protect the service's security or meet a legal obligation. Providers that host our servers, deliver our email or process payments handle data only for that job. Payment details go to Stripe and never reach us. We don't sell data, and we don't share it with advertisers or anyone else for their own purposes.
5. What stays your responsibility
We're a build tool, not storage or backup. Keep your own copy of your image and of anything you care about. We are not responsible for what you upload or reference, for what you use the service for, or for data lost before, during or after a build. That includes data on any card or drive you write an image to: writing an image erases the card or drive. See sections 6, 8 and 9 of the Terms of Service.
6. Asking about your data
To see what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, or close your account and have your personal information erased, email support@seysoft.co. We normally reply within 30 days. We may keep payment records where tax and accounting rules require. Builds can't be deleted from the site itself, because they are how the free allowance is counted, but we will erase them with your account if you ask us to close it.
