Terms of Service
Effective October 8, 2026
The short version. The full terms below are what count. The main points:
- You give us a Docker image; we turn it into a file you can flash to a Raspberry Pi. You are responsible for what is in your image and for how you use the result.
- We are not responsible for what you upload, what you use the service for, or data you lose before, during or after a build, including data on the cards and drives you flash.
- You get one free build. Premium is $24.99 once, lasts a year and does not renew by itself.
- We do not sell your data and we do not share it for other people's purposes. See the Privacy Policy.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Nassau Technologies, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). They cover this website and the SEYSOFT image-building service (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, starting a build, buying Premium, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Data page. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you accept these Terms for a company or other organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that organization.
2. The service
The Service takes a Docker or OCI container image that you give us, either as a reference to a public registry or as a file you upload, and builds a disk image that you can write to an SD card or USB drive and boot on a Raspberry Pi. To do that we fetch or receive your image, unpack its files, add a Linux kernel, boot firmware and a small start-up program for the Raspberry Pi model you choose, apply the options you pick (such as a read-only root, a data partition or Wi-Fi settings), and compress the result for you to download.
We unpack your image's files. We do not run the software inside your image on our servers.
The Service is provided for builds to be used on hardware you own or are allowed to use. We may change, limit or stop any part of it, including supported Raspberry Pi models, size limits and how long files are kept, at any time.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your password confidential, and to tell us promptly at support@seysoft.co if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
One person or organization should have one account. You must not create more than one account, or use someone else's, to get around the limit on free builds or any other limit.
When you create an account you tell us you agree to these Terms, and we keep a record of when you did.
4. Free builds and Premium
Free builds. Each account may make one build without paying. This is an allowance for the life of the account, not a monthly one. A build that fails without producing an image does not use it up. We may change or withdraw the free allowance at any time for future accounts and builds.
Builds are kept. Builds appear under “Your builds” as your history. They cannot be deleted from the Service, because that is how the free allowance is counted. The files of a build are removed after 24 hours (see section 9), but the record of it stays. If you want your account closed and its personal information erased, ask us and we will handle it as described in the Privacy Policy.
Premium. Premium lets you make as many builds as you like (subject to the limits we set to keep the Service running, such as how many builds can run at once) for one year. The year starts when your payment is confirmed, or when your current Premium ends if you buy again while still covered. Premium is a single payment. It does not renew automatically, and we will not charge you again unless you place another order.
When Premium ends. You can still sign in and see your build history, but you cannot start new builds until you buy Premium again. Premium does not extend how long a build's files are kept.
5. Fees, taxes and refunds
Price. Premium costs $24.99 (US dollars) for one year, before taxes. We may change prices at any time for future purchases; a change does not affect a payment you have already made.
Taxes. The price does not include sales tax, VAT, GST or similar taxes. Where we are required to collect them, they are calculated at checkout from your location, added to the price, and you agree to pay them.
Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. or its affiliates. Your card or payment details are given to Stripe and are not stored on our servers. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's terms.
Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, all payments are non-refundable, including for unused time, and we do not give credits for builds you did not make. We may choose to make an exception; if we refund a payment, the Premium access it paid for ends. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer without contacting us first, we may suspend your account.
6. Your content and your responsibility
“Your Content” means everything you give us or ask us to fetch: the container images you reference or upload, the software and files inside them, your settings, and any Wi-Fi network name and password you enter. As between you and us, you own Your Content.
You give us permission to copy, unpack, process, store temporarily and transmit Your Content, only as needed to run the Service for you and to keep it secure, and for no other purpose.
You promise that you have all the rights, licenses and permissions needed to give us Your Content and to have us build it into an image, and that doing so does not break any law, any contract, or anyone's rights.
We are not responsible for Your Content. We do not review, edit, endorse or monitor what you upload or reference, and we are not responsible for it. You are solely responsible for Your Content, including what it contains, whether it is legal, accurate, safe, secure and properly licensed, the licenses of any software inside it, and any personal or confidential information in it. We are not responsible for what you or anyone else does with an image we built from it, or for what you use the Service for.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- build or distribute anything that is illegal, or that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, trade secret or other rights;
- build, store or spread malware, or anything designed to harm, spy on, or gain unauthorized access to a person, device or system;
- store or share content that is unlawful, including content that exploits children;
- break or get around the limits, security or access controls of the Service, including by creating extra accounts, or probe, scan or overload it;
- resell or provide the Service to others as your own service, or use it in a way that harms other users or us; or
- break any law or regulation that applies to you, including export, sanctions and data-protection laws.
We may remove content, cancel a build, suspend or end an account, and report unlawful activity to the authorities, without notice and without refund, if we believe these rules have been broken or the law requires it.
8. Using the images we build
An image we build is a disk image. Writing it to an SD card or USB drive erases everything on that card or drive. Check that you have chosen the right drive and that you have backed up anything you want to keep, before you write an image.
We try to build images that boot and run your software, but we do not promise that any image will boot, will work with your hardware or software, will be secure, or will be up to date. You are responsible for testing an image before you rely on it, for the software and settings inside it, for keeping it updated and secure, and for any hardware you use it with. Images are used at your own risk.
If you give us a Wi-Fi name and password, they are written into the image. Anyone who gets a copy of the image file may be able to read them. Keep the file private, and change your Wi-Fi password if the file may have been exposed.
9. Data loss
The Service is a build tool, not a place to keep your data. We keep an uploaded file only until its build finishes, and a finished image for 24 hours, and then we delete them. We do not keep copies for you. Download your image when it is ready, and keep your own copies of anything you care about.
We are not responsible for any loss, corruption, deletion or exposure of data, whether it is data you upload, data in an image we build, or data on any card, drive, device or system that you use, before, during or after a build. This includes data lost because an upload or build failed, because a file reached the end of its retention period, because an image was written to the wrong drive, or because an image did not work as you expected.
10. Your privacy
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes. We use it to run the Service for you. The Privacy Policy and the Data page explain what we keep, for how long, and the few cases in which information is shared with the service providers who help us, or disclosed because the law requires it.
11. Third-party software and services
Images we build include software written by others, such as the Linux kernel and the Raspberry Pi boot firmware. That software is provided under its own licenses, which apply to it and to the images that contain it. Your own images also contain software under licenses chosen by their authors, and you are responsible for following them, including any obligation that comes with distributing the image.
The Service works with third-party products and services such as Docker and container registries, Raspberry Pi hardware, and Stripe. They belong to other people, are governed by their own terms, and are not under our control. Product and company names belong to their owners, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them. We are not responsible for them or for how they perform or change.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, this website, and the SEYSOFT name, logo and design are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any right in them except to use the Service as described here. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you give us the right to use them without restriction or payment.
If you believe something on the Service infringes your rights, send a notice to support@seysoft.co that identifies the material, says why you believe it infringes, and gives your contact details, and we will look into it.
13. No warranty
The Service and every image it builds are provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not promise that the Service will be available, that builds will succeed, that an image will work, or that it will be free of defects or security vulnerabilities or will not damage or lose data.
14. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we and our owners, officers, employees, contractors, licensors and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or use, or for the cost of replacement services, arising out of or related to the Service, an image we built, or these Terms, however caused and whatever the legal theory, even if we were told it was possible.
Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars (US$50).
These limits apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and some places do not allow certain limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits. You may also have consumer rights that these Terms do not affect.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless us and our owners, officers, employees and contractors from any claim, loss, liability, damage and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to Your Content, how you use the Service or any image we build, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or anyone's rights.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your account or access if you break these Terms, if a payment is reversed or disputed, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. When your access ends, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should continue, including sections 5, 6, 9 and 11 to 20, will continue.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. A change does not affect a payment you have already made.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us and try in good faith to settle the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have, the courts of that place have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, and each of us consents to them.
19. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Data page, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier understanding. If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may give you notices by email or by posting them on the Service.
